The Magic of Ordinary Things

The Show

“The Magic of Ordinary Things” is a musical memoir — a theatre piece, a dream, a Sufi Tale with original music.  It tells the story of how I felt losing the world of those I loved, their protection and care.  How out of my emptiness, ordinary things took me on a mysterious journey, gave me hope, helped me laugh, and led me home again.

Written and performed by Gina Harris
Directed by Michael French
Music Director Jason Martineau
Stage Manager Sigrid Yang
Lighting Designer Dylan Feldman

My show has been chosen as part of the “Reimagine End of Life San Francisco” festival this year.

“Reimagine End of Life San Francisco” is a citywide exploration of death and celebration of life through creativity and conversation. With more than 200 events set to explore death and celebrate life from every perspective, Reimagine invites San Francisco to join them in questioning how we think about our most universal experience.
